| Revenues rose on the back of price hikes amid stable sales from affiliates, despite of an intensifying price-cut competition. Operating profit rose as higher sales offset cost burdens, even though a continued rise in global grain prices. Net loss was reported, hit by equity investment losses on deteriorating earnings at affiliates and a fall in dollar-denominated assets. |
| While stable growth is seen throughout its affiliates such as Hanil Nongwon and Hannaeng Inti, rising costs of raw materials threaten profits. Hanil Feed is expected to see revenue growth by directly importing feed from China and making inroads into new markets. If imports of U.S. beef resume in the wake of the South Korea-U.S. FTA, its affiliate Hannaeng will post higher earnings, helping Hanil Feed expand non-operating profits. |
